Fulda, Germany, 09 September 2025 – LUQOM Group, Europe's leading vertical platform for lighting solutions for B2C and B2B customers, has successfully extended and expanded its existing financing. The existing loan, which was provided by a consortium of financing partners led by Helaba (Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen), will be extended by three years and increased to a total of around €70 million.
Over the past 18 months, LUQOM has achieved above-average, profitable growth: despite a challenging market environment, the company reported revenue growth of eight percent in 2024 and at the same time increased EBITDA by 54 percent. Profitable growth continued in the first half of 2025, with another high single-digit increase in revenue and a further rise in profitability of more than 50 percent.
The LUQOM Group is majority-owned by British private equity investor 3i Group, while German venture capital firm Project A holds a minority stake. With its brands Lampenwelt, QLF, Lampemesteren and Brumberg, the group is active in 34 markets for B2C and B2B customers. It has reached a turnover of more than €400 million, half of which now comes from markets outside the DACH region.
LUQOM is the leading vertical platform for lighting in Europe and consists of a D2C marketplace for merchandise and a unique range of private label products, which account for more than 50 percent of sales. The group is built on a unified technology and operations platform that bundles IT, service and logistics functions for all of the group's brands. This enables synergy effects and scaling effects that are unique in the European market.
Vanessa Stützle, CEO of the LUQOM Group, said: "Thanks to a clear strategy and a strong team, we are growing profitably and with positive cash flow. We will therefore stick to this successful strategy in the coming years, focusing in particular on ongoing internationalisation, the expansion of our marketplace model, our technology and operations platform, and targeted innovations such as our AI-supported product development."
Jakob Slenczka, CFO of the LUQOM Group, said: "The Amend and Extend Refinancing is a strong signal of confidence from our long-standing financing partners in our strategic direction and economic development."
